Happy 2012 to everyone!
With a very mild Monsoon bringing lovely breezy and cool (sort of) weather our way, what’s your excuse for not being out on the golf course? Everyone’s New Year’s resolutions should have included at least one that was golf related. Get your handicap down… fix that rotten slice… sort out your short game… or just play more. Which one was on your list? No more excuses – as someone rather famous once said “Just Do It!!”
I’m here right through January and beyond, so if you’re looking for some help with any of the above, then please do give me a call. 97985858 or email me leegolf@starhub.net.sg
While I’m here, please be reminded that Keppel Club’s driving range is open to the public. No – you don’t need to be a member to use the range. The course is also open to walk-in green fee players and a call to the golf office on 63751818 will get you a tee time.
So, Happy New Year to all and see you soon!
Cheers,
Lee

Two and half months down the track and I think, or hope, everyone knows that I’m now teaching at Keppel Club.
For those who have not been here, Keppel’s range is open to the public and being only 10 minutes from down town Singapore, there is no excuse not to pop in to say g’day and have a wee practice while you’re here. The range, balls and mats are great and of course – I’m there too… so what could be better
If you’re thinking of having a lesson, then the state of the art teaching room and all the neat teaching aids, make the learning experience even better than before. The pro shop downstairs stock Cobra, Callaway and Ping and do a wonderful job of fitting you, so that you get the best possible club built for you and to your specs. You may not be able to buy a golf swing, but you can make it a lot easier by having the right equipment. The guys at Big Fish know their stuff, so if you’re in the market for some new clubs – go check them out.
My hours are the same – Wednesday to Friday from 8 am to 9 pm and the weekends from 8 am to 5.30 pm. So to all my old friends, hope to see you soon and to anyone who is thinking about getting some lessons, stop thinking and just do it!!
Cheers all.

Wednesday 3rd of August and I’m at Keppel Club!
Last Sunday was my last day at Green Fairways and it would be remiss of me not to mention and thank some of those who have made my time there as happy and fulfilling as it has been. To the Transview staff, thank you guys and girls for all your help and support and for putting up with me through thick and thin! You are a great bunch of people and I thank you sincerely.
To the Turf Club staff, Michelle, Sunny and Musa especially, you guys have been fantastic and I thank you for all your help and support. Daniel and staff, your food is fantastic and the service wonderful. To the golf pros that have been with me at GF over the years – there have been more than a few and each and every one of you are great people, great coaches and good friends. Mostly, thank you to all the people that I have worked with and hopefully helped, over the years.
Now I’m off to Keppel Club this week and I expect to see you all there sometime soon. The AGI Academy is at the range and it is open to the public, so no excuses!! There is plenty of parking for the public, the range is great, terrific short game facilities and wonderful F&B. Keppel is ten minutes from the city and no more than 15 from Holland Village. Please remember – it is a PUBLIC RANGE! So all are welcome at any time for practice as well as lessons.
See you all very soon….

It’s the end of May – where on earth did Christmas go??
I’ve just got back from the most fantastic trip to the US, so if you haven’t see me around for a week or two, that’s why. I have to say to those who are thinking about a visit to the Monterey Peninsular and Pebble Beach – stop thinking and do it! I had very high expectations leading into it – they were totally surpassed and that’s no easy task. The weather was fantastic, the course in supreme condition and views beyond spectacular. Thanks to those who shall remain nameless, but know who they are and for what they did to make it such an enduring and wonderful memory.
After Pebble, was a five day jaunt to Phoenix and some pretty neat desert golf. TPC and the 500 Club were the standouts. The weather was hot. 100 degrees and it was still spring time. Save Phoenix for any time other than the summer! Great courses, spectacular desert scenery and again, wonderful company. San Fransisco for a couple of days on the way home for some sightseeing finished off a truly wonderful 10 days. Thanks guys – Slingers really do rock!
Back to work and GF for a reality check… sigh.
Green Fairways is still buzzing along quite nicely. Don’t forget folks, that it is one of very few public courses left in Singapore and no handicap or proficiency certificate is required to play it. You also don’t need to book a tee time – just rock up, pay your green fees and away you go. The same with the range, it’s purely public and open from 7 am till 11 pm and all are more than welcome. If anyone is looking for a lesson, I teach from 8 am till 9 pm weekdays and the weekends from 8 am till 5.30. Monday and Tuesday are my days off. You can call me anytime on 97985858 to book a time or find out a bit more about how I can help you.
Cheers everyone,
Lee
