The Ambassador’s Cup is once again being played at Palm Resort up in JB on Saturday, April 28th.
For those not in the know, the Ambassador’s Cup is one Singapore’s great amateur events, where anyone and everyone can join in the fun. It’s a Texas Scramble format, so loads of fun, no matter your handicap and or skill level.
Entry Fees are $295 for American Association Members and $345 for non members. The money raised goes to various deserving charities here, so it’s a win win for all concerned.
Goodie bags, prizes galore, free flow beer (oh dear!) lunch and a BBQ dinner to finish off the day. Fantastic!!!
You can register for the event at aasingapore.com or if you are interested in a corporate sponsorship – call 6738 0371
If you want to make a weekend of it, there is a fantastic Sofitel Hotel on site and you can make your bookings through www.palmresort.com
Ladies clinics
OK girls – who wants to get better at this maddening, frustrating and yet wonderful game?
I’m going to be running some clinics right through this year starting in March. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned player matters not, I’ll have a clinic to suit your needs.
For the beginner, I’ll have a beginners introduction clinic to get you started off on the right track and also to see if you really like the game or not – I bet you do!
For the intermediate players, we will focus on your needs whatever they may be, from short game to woods and all in between.
For the advanced player – playing lessons are wonderful way to take some shots of those handicaps and I’m betting that some short game will also benefit.
For the newly arrived expat, beginner through to advanced – what better way to find your golfing feet and meet some new friends, than through golf?
You can put your own group together or let me do it for you. The only proviso is that we need a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 players.
The cost will be $40 per person for a one hour clinic, or $80 for a two hour clinic or playing lesson, or $150 for a 18 hole playing lesson.
Call me on 97985858 or email me at leegolf@starhub.net.sg and let’s get this party started!!
Cheers to all,
Lee

With a very mild Monsoon bringing lovely breezy and cool (sort of) weather our way, what’s your excuse for not being out on the golf course? Everyone’s New Year’s resolutions should have included at least one that was golf related. Get your handicap down… fix that rotten slice… sort out your short game… or just play more. Which one was on your list? No more excuses – as someone rather famous once said “Just Do It!!”
I’m here right through January and beyond, so if you’re looking for some help with any of the above, then please do give me a call. 97985858 or email me leegolf@starhub.net.sg
While I’m here, please be reminded that Keppel Club’s driving range is open to the public. No – you don’t need to be a member to use the range. The course is also open to walk-in green fee players and a call to the golf office on 63751818 will get you a tee time.
So, Happy New Year to all and see you soon!
Cheers,
Lee

Two and half months down the track and I think, or hope, everyone knows that I’m now teaching at Keppel Club.
For those who have not been here, Keppel’s range is open to the public and being only 10 minutes from down town Singapore, there is no excuse not to pop in to say g’day and have a wee practice while you’re here. The range, balls and mats are great and of course – I’m there too… so what could be better
If you’re thinking of having a lesson, then the state of the art teaching room and all the neat teaching aids, make the learning experience even better than before. The pro shop downstairs stock Cobra, Callaway and Ping and do a wonderful job of fitting you, so that you get the best possible club built for you and to your specs. You may not be able to buy a golf swing, but you can make it a lot easier by having the right equipment. The guys at Big Fish know their stuff, so if you’re in the market for some new clubs – go check them out.
My hours are the same – Wednesday to Friday from 8 am to 9 pm and the weekends from 8 am to 5.30 pm. So to all my old friends, hope to see you soon and to anyone who is thinking about getting some lessons, stop thinking and just do it!!
Cheers all.
Lee
